Hands

Hands represent emotions, and gestures.   

Hand of God: Represented by a hand reaching out of a cloud, means God is reaching down from heaven.

 Ascension to heaven 

A hand resting on the chest or heart represents divine wisdom. 

Represents sacrifice by the departed

When a hand has two fingers pointing towards the sky, this represents a blessing. Often seen on statues of angels on the clergy. The hands could also be together representing prayers.

This represents Christ's resurrection and ether life. 

This means the deceased has ascended to heaven.

Does not mean the person is going to hell. The hand pointing down represents the person who died suddenly or in an accident. 

The hands together represent prayers, the devotion to God, or the plea to God for eternal life. 

The handshake represents the welcoming of a soul into Heaven. Or it could represent the bond between spouses if hands are feminine and masculine.
